admission rules

Admissions start from mid-February to April every year. A student has to register himself for admission. Admission start from Class I and the minimum age is 3 years on 1st April of the year of admission. Admission to other classes is subject to vacancies. Admission from along with Prospectus is obtainable from the school office on Payment of Rs. 200/-. If theparents and Guardians desire to have the form and Prospectus by post, they should remit Rs. 225/- including cost of postage, through Bank draft payable to Gobind Ram Kataruka DAV Public School, Purulia on any Bank at Purulia(W.B.).
On receipt of the form, duly filled in along with registration fee of Rs. 100/- the candidate’s name is registered. Parents are informed by post about the date of admission test. The admission form should be signed by parents and guardians only.
Parents and Guardians are instructed to write the name and date of Birth in bold letter, as no change on this account is entertained in future.
Admission from Classes I to IX is given on the basis of an admission Test held on Second Sunday of February every year. The admission test comprises of a written examination in the following subjects:

Written Test is followed by an interview of the candidate and his parents.

Note: No specific syllabus is prescribed for the admission test, but a candidate must have sufficient knowledge of the subject for one class lower than that in which a student seek admission.
Admission to class XI Science & Commerce is given on the basis of marks obtained in the board examination.
The candidate should be medically fit and free from mental & physically inability.
Students suffering from any contagious, constitutional or hereditary diseases or infirmity are not admitted. Parents will have to give declaration to this effect at the time of admission.
